Triumphant Soror Victoria Delorise Jefferson Darby Scholarship
Victoria Delorise Jefferson Darby, daughter of Pastor Sarah Ellen Jones Jefferson and the late
Marion C. Jefferson were born on October 16, 1958, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She
departed this life on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the Medical University of South Carolina
following a brief illness.

She was a graduate of Edisto High School in Cordova, South Carolina. She matriculated at South
Carolina State College (University) in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she earned her
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and Lesley University of Cambridge,
Massachusetts, where she earned her Master's Degree in Educational Technology.

As an Alpha Omicron Zeta Chapter Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated member, she
epitomized a finer woman. At the time of her death, she served as the Chapter Basileus of Alpha
Omicron Zeta Chapter in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Historian for the State of South Carolina,
and Trustee of the Southeastern Region. Victoria also held the positions of Tamias Grammateus
and Tamias of Alpha Omicron Zeta Chapter and Zeta Organizational Leadership certified
member of Cohort #1. Her greatest accomplishment was earning the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority
Regional and State Woman of the Year title.

The Victoria Darby Scholarship provides $1,500 to a deserving female high school Senior who
intends to continue her education journey at a 4-year college or university, possesses a minimum
GPA of 2.5, attends Orangeburg Wilkinson High School, and resides in or attends high school in
Orangeburg or Calhoun County.
Each year, the Alpha Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. awards deserving young women with academic scholarships to help further their educational aspirations. With the rising cost of higher education, we hope to assist with some of those costs, such as books, fees, and other supplies.
High School Scholarship
Student must reside in Orangeburg County or Calhoun County
Archonette Scholarship
AOZ Undergraduate Scholarship
Must be a member of Alpha Omicron Zeta Chapter Youth Affiliates.
Must be a Zeta at South Carolina State University or Claflin University.
